IRATA Training Levels with All Areas Access
We offer certified training for all three levels of the IRATA qualification:
IRATA Level 1: Entry Level
Perfect for: Individuals with no previous experience looking to start a rope access career.
- Key Skills: Basic rope maneuvers, knot tying, equipment use, and performing routine rope access tasks.
IRATA Level 2: Intermediate Technician
Perfect for: Current Level 1 technicians looking to take on more complex work.
- Progression Requirement: To advance to Level 2, you must log a minimum of 1,000 working hours and hold the Level 1 certification for at least 12 months.
- Key Skills: Advanced rigging setups, complex rope maneuvers, assembling hauling systems, and practical rescue operations.
- Role Focus: Expanding technical proficiency to handle varied and challenging worksites.
IRATA Level 3: Advanced & Supervisory Level
Perfect for: Experienced technicians ready to manage projects and lead teams.
- Progression Requirement: To advance to Level 3, you must log a minimum of 1,000 working hours as a Level 2 technician, hold the Level 2 certification for at least 12 months, and possess a current first aid certificate.
- Key Skills: Developing site-specific method statements and risk assessments, advanced rigging, and complex multi-person rescue techniques.
- Role Focus: Taking responsibility as the site safety supervisor and managing all rope access procedures.
